The villa is located on Highway 27, only a short drive away from the 192 and minutes
from the I4 - the principle routes in and around the Orlando area.

Walking distance from our villa:
1 min - large communal pool which has it's own gym and library area.
10 mins - Communities tennis courts
15 mins - Walmart and other shops
20 mins - Clubhouse (bar & restaurant)

Driving distance from our villa:
10 to 15 mins - Eagle Ridge shopping mall, Cypress Gardens.
20 mins to 35 mins - Gatorland, Walt Disney World, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, Universal Studios, Sea World, Belz Factory Outlets, Florida Mall (shops).
40 to 60 mins - Orlando International Airport, Sanford Airport.
60 to 70 mins - Busch Gardens, Kennedy Space Centre, Tampa (west coast).
90 mins - Daytona Beach.

Southern Dunes Golf & Country Club is the only community to have large supermarkets, garages, shops, video stores, restaurants etc all within walking distance. Southern Dunes is a 24 hour security gated community set in attractively landscaped grounds surrounded by the fairways of the renowned Steve Smyers designed Championship Golf Course.

Driving in Florida:

- The driver of a vehicle must possess a valid driver's licence and vehicle registration while driving.

- Florida law requires headlights to be on during rain storms.

- Right turns are permitted at red lights after a stop, unless otherwise signed.

- While driving if you are bumped from behind, flashed by headlights or see someone who indicates they need help it is not wise to stop. Drive to the nearest, well lit public area and dial the police on 911.

- Always take your parking ticket with you because leaving it in the car allows the thief to exit the parking lot without any problems.

- Florida has adopted very tough policies regarding drink-driving (blood alcohol levels of .08% or over are prohibited.
